The Railway Recruitment Board exams which were scheduled to be held from 26th April 2016- 30th April 2016 have been cancelled. The announcement came soon after the STF caught 6 persons running the examination cheating racket. The cancelled exams might be held in May across different centers. The STF had in its crackdown identified 6 centers where cheating was prevalent.
In a operation conducted on Friday, the STF had caught the mastermind of the cheating racket, the Railway Section Engineer along with 6 others at a lodge in Shivkuti, solving the Railway examination paper. The investigation has also revealed the involvement of 7 others in the cheating racket.
The STF is trying to nab the other criminals. In light of the above situation, the railway exams which were scheduled to be held between 26th -30th April, might be held in May, at new allotted centers.

The rescheduling of the exams has been done on the basis of the information provided by the nabbed criminals. The Railway Recruitment Board has circulated an online notice and also informed the affected candidates through SMS messages regarding the change in schedule and venue for the exams.
The centers where the Railway cancelled the exams include :
- Sanyogita Institute of Management and Technology
- First Step E-Education
- First Step Computer Center
- Vandana Institute of Management and Technology
- M. Masuriyadeen Inter College and Computer Education.
